The smallest screens, bonded directly to the glass

In a COG module the driver IC is bonded straight onto the LCD glass with anisotropic conductive film (ACF) — no interposer PCB, no flex-to-IC socket. That removes a full assembly step and its cost, which is why COG is the standard construction for displays under about 3 inches. We run COG lines inside a Class 1000 cleanroom, so bond alignment holds to ±0.05 mm run after run.

One bond fewer, one failure mode fewer

The cutaway shows the full COG stack: LCD glass, driver IC bonded through ACF, the FPC tail, and the backlight behind. ACF bond lines run at 40–60 µm pitch, and every bond is AOI-inspected before the module moves on. Because the IC sits directly on glass, there is no interposer to misalign and no connector to fatigue — the mechanical weak points of larger modules simply do not exist at this scale.

Yes. Transflective versions reflect ambient light through the pixel layer, and with the -30~+85°C wide-grade option they suit outdoor meters, EV chargers and vehicle-mounted panels. A yellow-green LED backlight covers dusk and night operation.
